Spiny-knee leaf frog : ウィキペディア英語版 | Spiny-knee leaf frog
The spiny-knee leaf frog, ''Phrynomedusa fimbriata'', is a presumably extinct species of frog in the Hylidae family. While it might still exist, having only been found once in the 1920s, it has not been found in recent searches. It was endemic to Brazil, where the only known population was discovered near Paranapiacaba in the state of São Paulo. Its natural habitats were subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and rivers. The type locality was given as "Alto da Serra", which may be a specific toponym or simply refer to the Serra do Mar crest. The Serra do Mar State Park was recently established near Paranapiacaba, and if the species by sheer chance survives undiscovered, its status should be more secure. ==Sources==
